Beautiful hammered base, flower band on lid, and hammered ball finial and handles. The lid is cut to accommodate the PYREX handled glass insert. Measures 11" including the handles and 9-1/2" without and the base is 5" tall to the top of the finial and 3" tall without the cover. The glass insert reads "023-623-B TM REG. PYREX U.S.PAT.OFF. G-U" and holds about a quart+-no chips. The base has the stamped "HAND FORGED EVERLAST METAL" on the bottom with the anchor and arm with a hammer. This is a wonderful serving piece!
