Circa: 1973-1976 Condition: Used Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Fenton Art Glass
Number three in a series of four. The third "Piece of the Portrait" is an awe-inspiring account of the unyielding determination and undaunted courage of an entire nation. These beautiful handmade commemorative plates were designed and produced by Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia, beginning with the first plate in 1973 and producing one each year ending in 1976. On July 4, 1976, a final ceremony was held in Independence Hall, presided over by the Presidents of the General Federation of Women's Clubs for the years 1973-1976. At this ceremony the moulds for these plates were publicly destroyed, thereby creating a limited edition. This plate is still in its box and has all the paperwork, excellent condition! |
