I have tried to show this in my pictures. Pages are ok with the exception of yellowing from age and also it looks like a hole in the middle of the outside pages, a bookworm? but no major damage! Book is in very good condition, pages are yellowed somewhat from age and also there is some spotting on the edges of the pages but no tears and the cover is solid showing only a little wear on the top. 1930s Stories from The Arabian Nights/Housman/Dulac This is a nice old hardcover book containing 171 pages published I believe in the 1930s as it was mine as a child and is from the same time frame as another book that I have listed-(All The Mowgli Stories) and that is dated 1936. The page that lists this information is torn out as is one of the last pages but the stories are all complete! Also, Doubleday is most likely the publisher! There is a beautiful illustration in full color by Edmund Dulac on one of the first pages-his signature is in the lower left. The pages are yellowed and some of the corners have been bent over, also pulling away from the spine which I have shown. Definitely shows useage-my brothers and I read it quite a few times in the 1940s/50s! Thanks for looking!

The original price of this book is on the dust jacket, in 1954 it was priced at $1.49. This is one of the Junior Deluxe Editions. It is in excellent condition, the cover is solid and clean because the dust jacket has kept it that way-dust jacket does have a few small tears but not enough to detract from it. Pages are yellowed from age and there is some writing in pencil reading "This book belongs to the 3 Joslin boys" on the first page, and "3 Joslin boys" on next page. Book is solid with no rips, tears, or repairs. Note: the writing adds to the endearment of this book as three brothers owned it many years ago but the names are written neatly in pencil and could most likely be removed if you wanted to remove them. Very good condition, some age yellowing, cover is tight and there are no rips, tears, or torn pages, there is a tiny worm hole in the bottom corner of the pages. Also, there is pencil writing on the first page "belongs 3 Joslin boys" and on the back inside cover pencil writing "Richard Joslin, Robert Joslin, Roger Joslin and Earl Joslin, Elwin Joslin, Emerson Joslin". It looks like the three original owners added their cousin's names? Anyway, these pencil signatures add to the endearment of this book as it brings us closer to the little boys who once owned this book many years ago!
