Wonderful graphics! By Elizabeth Montgomery and Dorothy Baruch. Nice hardcover book measuring 5-3/4" x 8" containing 160 pages. Very good condition, cover is tight shows wear on the corners, pages are not torn. Illustrated by Ruth Steed. From the Health and Personal Development Series. Used in school to help teach reading-there is a pocket inside the back cover with a library card with handwritten signatures of students who had used the book last. Written in the style of the Dick and Jane books. Cover does show some minor fading and wear. Thanks for looking!

The Aldine Readers A First Reader by Frank E.Spaulding and Catherine T. Bryce. 1906 hardcover book measuring 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" and containing 153 pages. The graphics are so sweet and old-fashioned! Beautiful illustrations in soft pastel colors by Margaret Ely Webb. The original owner's name, Pansy Brown, is written in pencil. Some normal wear to the cover on the spine but this book is very solid and wonderful condition! "This First Reader continues the interesting exercises of the Aldine Primer-the rhymes and stories, the dramatizations and pictures-which make the child's efforts to master the art of reading both delightful and surprisingly successful."
