W. S. George purchased the East Palestine Pottery Company in East Palestine, Ohio in 1904. Later on he built a second plant in East Palestine and two more plants at Canonsburg and Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Some of the very early products were semi-porcelain dinnerware, plain and fancy table and toilet ware, and hotel ware which was half an inch thick. W. S. George went out of business in the late 1950's-early 1960's. |
